Compass Associates are proudly working with an Autism Accredited, non-maintained, specialist school and college, to recruit a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join them on a permanent, term time only basis.
The school and college provide specialist education and therapeutic support for children and adults (ages 5 – 25) who have a diagnosis of Autism +/- additional complex needs or learning disabilities. All pupils have an EHCP and the school offers a range of therapeutic support including Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Equine Therapy, Music Therapy and Rebound Therapy. Reporting into the Head of Therapy who is also an Occupational Therapist, you will work directly with the children and young people by carrying out comprehensive assessments, setting achievable goals and delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions to improve motor, sensory and independent living skills.
The site is commutable from: Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, Cheshire, Wigan, Bolton, Chorley, Preston, Ormskirk, Knutsford, Birkenhead, Runcorn, Ellesmere Port and surrounding towns.
Essential criteria:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience working within specialist education with children who have a diagnosis of autism and learning disabilities
- Sensory Integration training is highly desirable but not essential
Closing date: Sunday 12th May as Interviews are being held w/c 20th May.
