Senior Nurse – Pre-Assessment – Private Surgical Hospital

The Client
Compass Associates are working with a private surgical hospital located in Coventry in their search of an experienced Nurse to join them on their pre-assessment unit. The hospital covers a wide range of specialties including general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmics, orthopaedics and much more. This state-of-the-art hospital has two operating theatres equipped with laminar flow as well as a minor operating suite.
The Role
As a Senior Nurse working in the pre-assessment department you will be responsible for carrying out pre-operative tests, ECG's, bloods, medicine management and taking medical history. You will report into the clinical Services Manager, supported by the Charge Nurse to ensure the highest standards of care is delivered to all patients and will be expected to deputise for the Charge Nurse in their absence.
This is a full time opportunity which involves working 37.5 hour working weeks Monday through Saturday with the department opening from 07:00 – 20:00. This is an excellent opportunity which will give you a good work-life balance and will allow you to work within a safe and controlled environment. You must be a Registered General Nurse to apply and be successful in this opportunity and be registered with the NMC.
Requirements
– Qualified Nurse with active NMC PIN
– Previous experience working in pre-assessment is desirable though not essential
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
