Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a valued client that specialise in providing high quality Supported Living & Residential Services to adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and other Complex Needs, with a remit to recruit for a Registered Manager for their brand-new supported-living service supporting young adults based in Doncaster.

The Position /Candidate

As the Registered Manager, you will be reporting into the Assistant Director of Operations, and you will have overall responsibility for managing the brand-new service including recruiting a full staff team, setting up systems across the service and ensuring a comfortable transition for service users when the site opens. As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the service, including the leadership and management of the staff team and continuous collaboration with the company’s quality team.

You will be overseeing the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst working closely alongside your line manager, where together you will ensure the service users receive the best care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, and you will also be required to have strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or NVQ Level 4 with the willingness to work towards the L5
  • Previous experience within a supported-living environment
  • Background of working with adults with autism, learning disabilities and mental health
  • Knowledge of the CQC / KLOES / regulations
  • Strong people management skills, communicator, team player


This position is based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and is commutable from Mexborough, Rotherham, Tickhill, Sprotbrough, or Rossington.

Interview Process

2 stages – Initial interview with the Assistant Director of Operations and another member of the SMT. Then if successful, a 2nd interview with the Director of Adult Services and CEO.
