We are proud to be working alongside a first opinion, veterinary practice in East London to help them in their search for a new Lead Surgeon.
What is the job?
As the Lead Surgeon, you will have a variety of responsibilities. The most significant amount of your time will be focused on clinical work and developing the rest of the team. You will manage a varied case load of small animals coming in for consultations; diagnostics; surgery, euthanasia etc. You will confidently work with full autonomy where needed and create a culture of continuing success amongst our other Surgeons and RVNs.
On top of clinical work, we are looking to have our new Lead Vet work with our practice owner to develop new protocols, strategic goals and influence recruitment at the site. Line management of the Vets ultimately falls to the Director but if you can get invovled with appraisals, 1-2-1s etc. it would be a great help.
This is a permanent role where you will be salaried through PAYE. Weekends are required but open to negotiation on how frequent they are.
The Clinic:
We currently have a team of 4 Vets you will work with, alongside some of the best RVNs and support staff we have had the pleasure of working with. As well as a fully staffed site, we have all the usual bells and whistles a GP Vet could ever need or want. Our lab, consulting and surgery space are bright and spacious and we have plenty of space for staff to take their breaks.
We are located in the heart of East London and are easily commutable from Woodford, Ilford, Upminster, Dagenham, Basildon, Brentwood, Central London and all surrounding areas.
