We are delighted to be working with one of the Nations’ leading providers of Veterinary Care to search for a friendly, ambitious Registered Veterinary Nurse to join and lead the team at a specialist clinic.

The Clinic:

Despite being a first opinion clinic, we have some of the best, industry leading equipment available for our RVNs and Vets. An impressive in house laboratory for running tests; C-ray, ultrasound and echocardiography equipment and large hospital ward space are just a few of the facilities at the clinic. Our clients love our site and we currently operate with most of our clients being fully insured. We also have plenty of consulting space so that your nurse clinics can run with ease.

The team itself consists of 5 Surgeons and 5 receptionists but you will be leading the team of 6 RVNs.

The Job:

As the Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be the ‘go to’ on site for all our Nurses looking for advice and devleopment. You will be the direct line manager for the team with you yourelf reporting into the Clinical Director. You will lead from a HR perspective and look to write up new policies and procedures to develpo our site even further.

From a clinical perspective, all nurses will perform injections, medication, fluid therapy, dressing and ECC. You will perform diagnostics, anaesthesia, assisting the veterinary surgeon by scrubbing in surgeries and post-operative care and monitor our ICU suite. You will also perform nurse consults and lead on RVN development.

This is a full time, permanent role where you will join the weekend rota, currently set at 1 in 4. There is no OOH or night work required.
