Compass Associates were mandated by an Elderly Care Charity, to run a search to secure a Chief Executive Officer for the organisation, owing to considerable financial constraints at the business which meant this urgent hire was needed to stop them from having to close.
One of the Trustees was the HR Director at a privately owned Residential Care provider, where the Northern Elderly Care team had delivered a number of senior hires into the business. As a result of this excellent delivery, they were referred to the Chair and the Board of Trustees about this important hire, and undertook a successful pitch in order to run the CEO search. The client stipulated that they were looking to secure a Chief Executive who had strong commercial acumen, a background in turnaround projects where providers had financial difficulties, as well as preferably a background in the Elderly Care sector.

A unanimous decision was reached, and the successfully appointed Chief Executive was offered and accepted first time.
