Overview
Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an established national provider within Residential care, who offer support to individuals with complex learning disabilities and autism, to recruit for a Registered Manager to oversee their brand-new Residential service in Preston, Lancashire. The service will support adults with autism, learning disabilities and associated complex needs, including behaviours that challenge. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience within a management position, with exposure to autism and learning disabilities.

The Candidate
As the Registered Manager, you will be reporting into the Operations Director, and you will have overall responsibility for managing the brand-new service including recruiting a full staff team, setting up systems across the service and ensuring a comfortable transition for service users when the site opens. As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the service, including the leadership and management of the staff team and continuous collaboration with the company’s quality team. You will be overseeing the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst working closely alongside the Operations Director, where together you will ensure the service users receive the best care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, and you will also be required to have strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.

Salary and Benefits
The salary is £38’000-£40’000 per annum (dependent on experience) and benefits include:

Essential Criteria

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent
  • 3 years minimum experience in a similar setting
  • Background of working with adults with autism, learning disabilities and mental health
  • Knowledge of the CQC / KLOES / regulations
  • Strong people management skills, communicator, team player
  • Clear DBS

Location
This role is based in Preston and is commutable from Preston, Leyland, Blackburn, Bamber Bridge, Blackpool and Chorley.

Interview Process
The interview process involves 3 stages.

  • 1st Stage is a formal interview with the Operations Manager and Regional Director.
  • 2nd Stage is via a MS Teams with the HR Director and the Divisional Director
  • 3rd Stage is a quick chat with the CEO to talk over the role and a chance to ask any questions.
