Overview:
Compass Associates is pleased to be collaborating with a leading provider of mental health support in the UK, including rehabilitation, acute, PICU and secure facilities. They are seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy at their well-established inpatient mental health hospital, which has recently opened a brand new psychiatric intensive care unit.

This exceptional service is committed to delivering round-the-clock therapy and care, prioritising a recovery approach through collaborative working. With this in mind, you will be joining a diverse multidisciplinary team of professionals who are all dedicated to the assessment and treatment of a variety psychoses and disorders.

The site you will be joining boasts circa 30 modern beds, split across 3 wards – two of which are male-only PICU units, and one male acute general ward. In order to help the service provide specialised and evidence-based treatment that are proven to help tackle the issues faced by its service users, we are working in partnership to headhunt for a Lead Occupational Therapist, who will conduct clinically supervise a small team of OTAs, engage in observations and assessments, as well as plan, implement and evaluate treatment plans.

Location:
This mental health rehabilitation service is located in Burgess Hill, West Sussex; and is commutable from Croydon, Maidstone, Cranbrook, Hastings, Eastbourne, Worthing, Chichester, Midhurst, Guildford, Crawley and other surrounding towns and villages.

Criteria:
– HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
– 2 years’ experience in any mental health setting (ideally inpatient)
– Management / clinical supervision experience is highly desirable

Shift Pattern:
As a full-time Occupational Therapist, you will be expected to work an average of 37.5 hours per week: Mon – Fri 09:00 – 17:00.

Interview Process:
This will be a one-stage process carried out ideally in person with the Hospital Director and Director of Clinical Services, but our client is more than happy to facilitate initial phone calls / virtual conversations to discuss the role in further detail.

Salary and Benefits:
This Occupational Therapist position pays between £44,000 – £48,110, but is flexible depending on experience and qualifications, and includes an industry-leading benefit package as follows:
