Job Title: Counselling Psychologist – Mental Health Hospital
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm)

Overview:
Compass Associates are proudly working with one of the UKs largest private mental healthcare providers. Together we are looking for an Counselling Psychologist for their acute psychiatric hospital situated on the outskirts of London in Kent. The hospital offers specialised care and treatment for adults dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including acute mental health conditions, addiction problems, and eating disorders. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services, delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.
As the Counselling Psychologist, you will facilitate therapy groups and one-to-one sessions for inpatients, day care patients, and outpatients. Additionally, you will provide supervision, support groups, and annual appraisals for junior team members.
Experience Required:
– Degree in Counselling Psychology
– Active HCPC registration as a Counselling Psychologist
– Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in adult mental health settings
– Proficiency in CBT / CBT-E / DBT
– Desirable experience in Schema Therapy / EMDR
Interview Process:
The interview process involves a single-stage, face-to-face panel interview with the Head of Therapy and another senior member of the therapy team.
