We are introducing a Consultant Spotlight Q&A Series highlighting our consultants across each of the three divisions within the Compass Associates brand. The latest article in this series introduces Jamie Cutts from the Healthcare division.  

What is your role and how long have you worked at Compass?

I work as a Managing Consultant within the Healthcare division and I have worked at Compass for nearly two and a half years now. After joining Compass Associates as a Recruitment Consultant, I have worked my way up to Managing Consultant which sees me manage a team of two.

What markets do you cover?

I cover assignments within the Pharmacy and Primary Care markets, working with acute and community pharmacies as well as Primary Care services with their Nursing, ANP and Pharmacist roles. My assignments geographically cover all of the UK.

Advice for job seekers

My advice for job seekers would be to make sure that your CV is formatted well. Show all of your previous roles and experience clearly and give good examples of your responsibilities under each one.

Current changes you foresee within the sector?

The pharmacy sector is entering a very interesting time as Pharmacists take on a more front-line role within healthcare. With the need for Independent Prescribers at an all-time high, and all new Pharmacist graduates will have Independent Prescribing from 2025 as part of their degree. I foresee organisations who can offer this training being in a much better position to attract candidates over the next 2-3 years. A lot of professionals who haven’t previously been qualified to do so are looking to gain it ahead of this happening as they feel they might be left behind.

My promotion to Managing Consultant was a very proud moment within my Compass career so far.

A bit about you outside of work

I enjoy reading and films, and I’m also a massive Arsenal fan. I also enjoy going for walks with my fiancé and spending time with family.
