Compass Associates were exclusively mandated in the search for an Operations Director for a leading independent care provider.
This independent care provider has an ongoing and well-established partnership with Compass Associates. The client approached us to support them in searching for a new Operations Director as the current incumbent was in the process of leaving the business. Due to our previous track record and having recently placed their Regional Managing Director, the client was satisfied with Compass Associates leading this search on an exclusive basis.
The client was looking for candidates with experience in the industry, within operations, budgeting, and either nurse qualified or to hold an NVQ Level 5 qualification. The ideal candidate would also need to provide pro-active and line management support, so extensive experience within the industry was essential. The client needed a candidate in post within two months so needed someone with a short notice period.
Once a brief had been agreed with the client, The Compass Associates Elderly Care team screened four potential candidates. Two of these were selected by the client to undertake a three-stage interview process. This involved two online interviews with one of the business owners and some of the senior management team and a final in-person interview to discuss developments and growth for the provider.
The client felt satisfied that one of the two candidates was suitable for the role and offered the role after the final stage interview with the candidate accepting immediately. This placement had a quick turnaround process of 4-5 weeks from being mandated to offer acceptance.
