Compass Associates were approached by the investors of a newly created provider acting as an off shoot to an established mental health provider, who were looking to build a presence in the learning disabilities space through the creation and launch of a brand-new learning disability hospital and were looking to secure a Hospital Director. This would be their only LD hospital in the group, as part of a specific growth strategy.

The Specialist Care division were approached as a result of their established relationship with the sister brand, where delivery had been consistently first-class. The role was an urgent hire for the business.

The successful candidate would need to have a proven track record with attaining excellent CQC results, alongside a background in learning disabilities and also be a clinician. They would need to be hands-on, approachable, and visible in the business, and be able to commute to the hospital five days a week.

Compass Associates delivered two highly relevant candidates closely matching the brief, both of whom participated in a two-stage interview (first stage via MS Teams, the second stage a face-to-face interview), before the identified preferred candidate was offered, and accepted first-time.

Compass Associates were a pleasure to deal with. Such friendly and helpful contact, they maintained contact at the right pace and were so helpful with any questions. They are clearly a person-centered business and want to make a real difference to others in their role.
