Compass Associates supported a leading name in the mental health sector to recruit a Hospital Director with specialist acquired brain injury (ABI) knowledge to lead one of the hospitals in their portfolio.
Following the departure of the former Hospital Director, the Director of Clinical Services had stepped into the role as an interim solution, but the requirement long-term meant the organisation required a full-time replacement.
Having a long-standing relationship with the Regional Director – including making several placements into other areas of the business – Compass Associates were mandated the hire in the knowledge that the team had a strong network of appropriate candidates; had a track record of delivery; and an unparalleled understanding of the business.
The mental health provider was looking for an operationally astute Hospital Director, who would seamlessly fit into the organisation from a cultural perspective. Owing to a clinically strong, nurse-qualified Director of Clinical Services who the Hospital Director would be working closely alongside, the onus was on securing a candidate who had very strong operational background.
Compass Associates were able to introduce four candidates who closely met the brief – all of whom were interviewed – resulting in two candidates being invited back to a second and final stage. The successfully identified candidate was offered, and accepted, first-time, completing the entire process in under one month from initial briefing to the offer being accepted.
