Compass Associates were mandated to support in the search for a Head of Care for an Adult Specialist Care Provider.

This was a new client for Compass Associates that was in the process of a business expansion due to a recent acquisition outside of their current geographical area and therefore needed an experienced Head of Care to support the success of their new growth plans.

Compass Associates made initial contact with the provider to see if we could assist with any of their recruitment processes following their recent acquisition. After an initial meeting, the provider discussed the overview of their company, recent expansion and acquisition, as well as their future plans. This ensured that the Compass Associates Specialist Care division could really understand the client’s requirements and how this role would become an integral part of the business. The meeting also allowed Compass Associates to present a portfolio that enabled us to portray the breadth and calibre of the work that we as a business can provide. The client was impressed by this, which led them to agree terms for this placement.

Once a detailed brief was agreed upon, Compass Associates carried out the search required to ensure that suitable candidates were selected. Due to the nature of the role, it was essential that the ideal candidate had a well-established relationship with the local authority and had the experience to help grow the new area’s remit.

Compass Associates identified three suitable candidates that were presented to the client. The interview process was conducted via three stages including an in-person interview at the new acquisition site which saw the senior management team travel there to enable this. Impressed with all the candidates put forward, the client identified one of these that they would like to offer the position. The candidate accepted accordingly and was able to start immediately due to having recently left their previous role.

The client was impressed with the quality of candidates presented to them, how well the brief had been followed and the clear communication throughout the whole process. As a result of this, the client has now signed exclusive terms with Compass Associates.
