Compass Associates were mandated with a search for a Director of Care by one of the most respected and established providers of elderly care in the sector, as part of a new role created in the business.
Having worked with the provider for nearly decade, the division had a strong working relationship established off the back of exceptional delivery – and were frequently relied upon to supply market insight owing to the team’s knowledge of the sector. For this reason, the provider partnered with Compass Associates on an exclusive basis, such was the trust to deliver.
The provider had originally been looking to secure a Regional Director into the business, who would be responsible for covering 30 homes across a dedicated regional territory. The focus would be on ensuring exceptional quality, with the successful candidate being responsible for working closely with quality leads. Preferably, the provider was looking for a candidate who had previously worked within operations, would currently be nurse qualified, with the gravitas to act as Managing Director in the absence of the leadership representative.
Such was the quality of the candidate submitted and latterly identified as the appointee, the provider created this role of Director of Care – owing to their unique skill set and reputation in the industry as a true leader.
Compass Associates ran a tailored search which resulted in two candidates being put forward who closely matched the brief. A three-stage interview took place: a competency based, and team fit first-stage; a second stage face-to-face meeting with the Director of Quality; before a final stage meeting with the Managing Director. The successfully identified candidate was offered and accepted within a timescale of less than 8 weeks from the initial brief.
