This brand new clinc is based in Hertfordshire and are specialist in the Ophthalmic field. We are looking for an experienced nurse or ODP to join their team and lead the theatre department. Ophthalmic experience is essential, as well as leadership skills or experience working at band 6 upwards.
The Role
The role holder will be involved in the initial theatre set up and will coordinate the operational management of theatres on a day-to-day basis. The Lead Theatre Practitioner will be able to demonstrate successful leadership and managerial skills and will have a clinical background in Ophthalmology, with extensive ophthalmic scrub experience.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous theatre experience in Ophthalmic scrub experience is essential.
- Leadership or managerial experience working at band 6 upwards
- Private healthcare experience would be beneficial, but not essential
- Evidence of relevant professional development, clinically, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration / ODP with valid HCPC Registration
- Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for delivering first- rate patient safety and care
