Service Development Lead – Adult Residential – Learning and Physical Disabilities

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a valued client who offers support to individuals with profound learning disabilities and other complex conditions, to recruit for a Service Development Lead to support and oversee the adult residential services in the company. The successful candidate will need to have previous proven management experience within a care setting, with exposure to operational support including auditing, CQC inspections and compliance.
As the Service Development Lead, you will be based at the organisation's head office in Mirfield, but you will need to be able to travel to the other services located close to the main site, to help develop and assist the services in ensuring regulatory compliance to deliver outstanding outcomes for services and their residents.

The Candidate
As the Service Development Lead, you will report to/work closely with the Head of Adult Residential Services to apply quality framework to services and improve outcomes, as well as carry out other elements of the business such as recruitment, health and safety and meeting with stakeholders.
For this role, my client is looking for individuals with proven management experience, as well as a thorough knowledge of all relevant care legislations and standards, such as CQC Fundamental Standards and Regulated Services Regulations 2014, Care Act 2014 etc. Candidates must have a strong understanding of quality assurance systems and processes at an individual, service and strategic level, as well as the skills to develop and implement systems that fit with measuring compliance based on current standards and regulations relating to services for adults with learning disabilities.

The salary is £32'000 and benefits include:

Essential Criteria

  • Proven management experience
  • Thorough understanding of CQC / KLOES / Regulations
  • Experience working within learning disabilities (Desirable)
  • NVQ Level 3 (Desirable)
  • Driving Licence – minimum of 2 years (ESSENTIAL)
  • Great role for a Team Leader, Deputy Manager or Service Manager looking for change of direction into quality

This role is based in Mirfield and is commutable from Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford, Halifax, Leeds and Barnsley.

Interview Process
The interview process involves a formal call (either on-site or Teams) with the Head of Residential Care and Director of Operations and then a formal site visit with the Head of Residential Care and Director of Operations.
