Compass Associates are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable care home provider that have a number of services throughout the North of England. They have gone through a phase of growth and improvement recently and are looking to expand their nursing team due to an increase in occupancy.

They have an opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant join their medium sized nursing home in Northallerton on a full time permanent basis working either 3 nights per week. The home has a new Manager in place who has made significant improvements to the home in the last 6 months including the lifting of an embargo, an increase in occupancy and an overall improvement in both the quality and the safety of the care provided and due to this are looking to grow their experienced night staff team.

The Candidate

As Senior Care Assistant, you will oversee the home alongside a Registered Nurse delivering the highest standards of personalised care to residents. You will have a caring and kind nature with natural empathy and a willingness to help others.

This is a permanent position, working either 3 nights per week with a shift pattern of 19:45 – 08:00 which includes paid breaks and handover time.

Requirements

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Essential) though NVQ Level 3 preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Previous experience working in elderly care / care home setting
