Overview

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an established northern provider within Residential care, who offer support to individuals with complex learning disabilities and autism, to recruit for a Registered Manager to oversee their brand-new children’s Residential service opening in Widnes, Merseyside. The service will support children with autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. My client is happy to speak with experienced Deputy Managers who are keen to take the next step in their career and are looking to take on their first Registered Manager position.

The Candidate

As the Registered Manager, you will be working alongside the Area Manager, and you will have overall responsibility for managing the brand-new service including recruiting a full staff team, setting up systems across the service and ensuring a comfortable transition for service users when the site opens. As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the service, help to develop and establish the service and push it towards a Good or Outstanding utilising the company’s quality team.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £50’000 per annum and benefits include:

Essential Criteria

  • Studying for or qualified NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (full support given)
  • 3 years minimum management experience in a similar setting
  • Background of working with children with autism and/or learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards
  • Strong people management skills, communicator, team player
  • Clear DBS / CRB

Location

This role is based in Widnes and is commutable from Runcorn, Warrington, Prescot, Liverpool Centre, and St Helens.

Interview Process

The interview process involves an initial informal conversation with the Recruitment Manager, then a second formal interview with the Regional Director and another member of Senior Management.
