Hours: Full-Time (with some evenings and on-call)
Location: North West (Hybrid Remote)
Salary: £50,000 (plus mileage)

COMPANY:
Compass Associates are working with nationally recognised, industry leading care provider to recruit for a Regional Clinical Lead Nurse to lead the team of Nurses and Care Givers in the North. You will be working for a company with a combined 25 years in the personal injury sector. Focusing on patients with acquired brain or spinal injuries. The group is rated outstanding with the Care Quality Commission and is a registered provider with CIW in Wales.

LOCATION:
Covering the North West, no two weeks will be the same. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will travel across the remit to meet with clients and patients in order to build relationships and offer the best care possible.

Mileage will be reimbursed, and the working week will be split between travelling (2-3 days per week) and working from home (2-3 days per week).

ROLE:

  • To provide leadership to the teams acting as a positive role model at all times, providing effective clinical supervision to the Support Workers, motivating, supporting and mentoring the staff when needed
  • Attend meetings and liaise with case managers, GPs and other health professionals to ensure that clients receive the medical and clinical support they require
  • Ensure clinical assessments and risk assessments are undertaken and are bespoke to the individual needs of the client and undertake regular formal reviews
  • Plan and deliver training and delegation of clinical task as required to reflect the needs of the client and the support workers ensuring completion of the relevant documentation
  • Ensure safe Management of medications as per company policy
  • Ensure all written records are maintained in the client records and company systems
  • Report and investigate any concerns around safeguarding issues , incident, accidents or near misses in line with company procedures in liaison with the Clinical Director
  • Participate in clinical audit as required by the Clinical Director
  • Participate in the clinical on call rota to ensure effective clinical support is available across the company at all times
  • Ensure high levels of communication at all times to ensure smooth and effective service delivery

CANDIDATE REQS/QUALS:

  • You must be a Registered Nurse (Adult or Child)
  • Active NMC Pin
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience ideally with skills and knowledge from Intensive Care/ Trauma/ Spinal Injury Unit/ Neurological Rehabilitation unit
  • Experience of working within a Complex / Critical care setting is essential, such as ICU, ITU, CCU, HDU, A&E, Anaesthesia, and Theatre
  • Management experience is desirable
  • Training in tracheostomy, ventilator management and PEG feeds highly desirable
  • Excellent personal organisation and communication skills
  • Passionate in promoting independence for those needing care from long term conditions
  • Must possess a clean UK driving licence with own car and happy with the travel needed
  • Clear DBS

PROCESS
This will be a two stage process, stage one being an informal teams conversation with a Senior Clinician and another member of the SMT.
Second stage will be competency based and face-to-face meeting at one of the sites in Central London or Wokingham, with a short 5 minute presentation.
