Job Title: Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner – Adults

Location: Remote with regional travel across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, North London, and Oxfordshire

Salary: £32,000 + £3,600 car allowance + mileage

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible: 9am-5pm, 8am-4pm, or 10am-6pm)

Compass Associates is excited to partner with a respected organisation renowned for its specialised support services for adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health needs. Our client supports over 1000 individuals across England and Wales, offering a range of therapeutic, residential, and supported living services. They are committed to helping individuals – achieve their goals, gain independence, and take control of their lives.

We are currently seeking a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to a values-driven approach and aims to enhance the quality of life for the people they support. You will collaborate with 7 other PBS Practitioners and report directly to the Associate Director.

Key Responsibilities:

– Implement proactive strategies to reduce restrictive practices.

– Foster effective working relationships with colleagues, families, and external professionals.

– Mentor and guide PBS Coaches and teams.

– Facilitate practice-related training and contribute to organisational learning.


– Manage your own schedule, with 3-4 days of regional travel and 1-2 days working from home.

– Your region includes adult services across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, North London, and Oxfordshire.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

– A PBS qualification (minimum Level 4).

– At least 2 years of experience in a similar PBS Practitioner role or as a PBS mentor/ PBS coach.

– Valid UK driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.

– Strong interpersonal skills to handle challenging conversations and effectively deliver training.

Interview Process:

1 stage interview at Head Office, including a 10-minute presentation followed by structured interview questions.
