Compass Associates are pleased to be working with a well-established and rapidly growing provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in South and West Wales. We are looking for a PBS Practitioner who has experience with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and challenging behaviour to be at the heart of its PBS core practice within their Ammanford service.

This exciting role involves conducting assessments, developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support interventions for those with Challenging Behaviour. You will work as part of the peripatetic team and provide consultation to a dedicated service. You will also provide PBS training, practice leadership, supervision and mentoring to colleagues.

The service boasts an excellent reputation, equivalent of Good with CIW.

Work Pattern
40 hours per week – working 8AM – 4PM with flexibility to the needs of the service

The position is commutable from Llanelli, Carmarthen, Swansea and Llandeilo

– PBS Level 4 or Level 5 (BTEC) Qualification
£29,000 salary for those in a Level 4 and £35,000 – £40,000 to those with a Level 5 qualification
You can also be supported to develop to a Level 5 if starting on the 4

– Positive Behaviour Management (ABMU) trainer
– Experience of writing PBS plans, taking incident briefs and de-briefs
– Experience working in a similar Challenging Behaviour, Learning Disability and Mental Health setting
– Understanding of Mental Health Act and other relevant legislations
– A role model, providing exemplary support and advice to promote good practice
– Exceptional communicator, team player, empathetic and excellent people skills
– Clear DBS / CRB
