A UK leading children’s charity hospice is seeking to hire a passionate Registered Children’s Nurse to join team due to the organisational growth. This organisation specialises in helping babes, children, and young people with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions make the most of every day and enjoy life as children, not as patients. Each year, this hospice provides care for over 350 children and their families not only within the facility but also in the family’s homes.

The hospice has a light, welcoming, and calm environment that is located in a quiet area with 7 acres of nature. The team is full of friendly, compassionate, and highly experienced nurses, carers, therapists, and social workers who are committed to providing compassionate palliative care that is individual to each child and their family. There is a range of holistic and clinical services such as a various activity rooms, a nature reserve with wheelchair access, and family accommodation as well as bereavement suites.

The right candidate

The ideal candidate will have a clear interest and passion for complex and palliative care, and either be looking to start or continue to grow their career within hospice. The requirements to be successful in this role include having their NMC Registered Children’s Nurse pin and having a couple of years post-qualification paediatric experience.

The role involves various responsibilities such as caring for those that are visiting or staying at the hospice, supporting children in their family homes, or doing a bit of administration work. In this position, you will need to be collaborative in a multi-disciplinary team but also be able to work autonomously and ability to be flexible around the 24/7 service’s needs.

– NMC Registered Children’s Nurse pin

– At least a couple of years’ experience as a Paediatric Nurse

– A real interest for compassionate and impactful palliative/end-of-life care

– Be an enthusiastic, positive, and creative individual

– Great communication and organisation skills

– Full Driver’s Licence


This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours between Monday to Sunday. This is a 24/7 service so they need someone who can work some weekend shifts and on-call night shifts.

Additionally, there is an option to do some work from home days to complete administration and paperwork.


Located in North London – Commutable from Camden Town, Wembley, Watford, Luton, Stevenage, Harlow, and Woodford.
