Overview
Compass Associates is privileged to be working alongside an established not for profit organisation specialising in Adult Residential, Supported Living and Day services (Learning Disability and Autistic Spectrum Conditions). They boast an enviable reputation in the sector, 25+ years history behind them with back to back Outstanding and Good CQC ratings achieved.
Reporting to the Group Head of Operations and collaborating with the Senior Management Team, we are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the running of Residential and Supported Living services in the Kent region.
You will be responsible for commercial operations and day to day running of the services. We are looking for someone who is hands on, visible across the region, someone who understands the challenges of working within the third sector, can adapt, assist in future proofing the organisation and thrive within the setting.
You will work as an ambassador of the brand, liaising with Local Authorities and Commissioners, raising the profile of the organisation and leading a team of dedicated people who are also as equally passionate about the ethos of the organisation, in making a difference to adults with Learning Disabilities to flourish and live within our communities.
Location / PortfolioThe role is primarily based in the portfolio of homes in Kent – with occasional work from home when needed.
Requirements– Previous experience in working within a Senior Management capacity whether it is from a private equity or third sector- Background in handling multiple CQC registrations and multi-site management, 4 + services at a minimum- Good financial acumen, understanding of budgetary management, P&L’s accounts (has managed a budget that exceeds £5M)- Experience in Learning Disability and Autism services, ideally someone who has worked their way up from a Support Worker, Registered Manager into a Regional role- Superior communication skills, being able to inspire internal and external stakeholders- Genuine passion in caring for adults with Learning Disabilities and ASD- Approachable, putting value on people and ability, self-motivated, industrious with a commercial flare are qualities we are looking for the Operations Manager- Drivers License, Clear DBS
Interview ProcessInitial, interview screening with Compass Associates via telephone
Followed by 2 stages:
1st stage will be with the CEO and the Group Head of Operations – face to face with a presentationIf successful, 2nd stage will be scheduled with the rest of the Senior Management team
Salary & Benefits
Up to £60k per annum + 33 days annual leave – including Bank Holidays and additional benefits
