Overview:

At Compass Associates, we're thrilled to partner with England’s largest independent provider of healthcare services, who support on the delivery of over 70 different services encompassing NHS 111, Integrated Urgent Care, Hospitals, Prisons, and the running of Immigration Removal Healthcare systems. Together we are currently headhunting for an experienced Mental Health leader with a background in RMN/RNLD Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work to join them as a Clinical Lead of a Category B local prison in Winchester, Hampshire.

As the Mental Health Clinical Lead, you will be integral to the Senior Management team within the Prisons healthcare system. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical leadership and managing a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including Nurses, Psychologists, and Social Workers. Given your leadership role, you may also need to deputise for the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when necessary.

In addition to managing operational standards, this position will require you to focus on maintaining quality, including conducting audits and overseeing governance processes. You will also be responsible for developing and reviewing both clinical and non-clinical operating protocols for the prisons healthcare system when it comes to Mental Health.

Professional Requirements:

  • Hold a registration as an RMN/RNLD, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
  • Minimum of 4 years’ management experience in a Mental Health setting
  • Experience in Prison or Inpatient Mental Health setting.
  • Clear DBS
