Overview:
At Compass Associates, we’re thrilled to partner with one of the UK’s top independent providers of inpatient and outpatient mental health services for private funding patients to headhunt a dynamic and clinically knowledgeable Counselling or Clinical Psychologist specialising in eating disorders to join our team as the Lead Eating Disorder Therapist. This role will oversee our comprehensive eating disorder services, which include both inpatient and outpatient programs.
As the Lead Eating Disorder Therapist, you will be a key member of the hospital’s senior management team, responsible for overseeing therapy provisions across the unit while managing your own caseload and supervising two psychologists. In this role, you will engage in various management responsibilities, including overseeing, planning, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of evidence-based group programs, which are a core therapy pathway used within the unit. You will also provide clinical oversight for therapies delivered across the Eating Disorder Unit.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the broader therapies team and the hospital’s multidisciplinary team to ensure that outstanding care is provided for all patients, whether they are inpatients or outpatients. This involves working closely with a diverse MDT, including Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Nursing staff, and Psychotherapists.
