We are working with a beautiful small animal clinic in London to support on their search for a new Head of Nursing. This is a permanent role where you would be on site.

The Clinic:

Led by our amazing Director, we currently have a growing team of Vets and Nurses who are always supported by a strong, back office and client support team. We are a very close-knit team that have fostered an incredible culture of support and growth where we all focus on giving excellent clinical care to all patients.

We are a small animal clinic that have a heavy case load of cats and dogs but are seeing more and more exotic species come through our doors. One of our Vets has taken the helm in driving this forward so if you are interested in exotic species, we have plenty to see! Companion animals continue to take the largest percentage of the case load however.

We have high-quality and modern equipment available for all our staff to use and learn so that we can give fantastic experiences for our clients. We’ve multiple consult rooms, theatres and spacious wards department. Due to ongoing financial success, we a re-investing this back into the clinic and are planning an expansion for the site. We will be able to offer more clients and even wider range of services and increase our case load.

The Role:

As the most senior RVN in the practice, you will oversee a variety of areas. You will manage the nurses and recruitment; support the practice Director with commercial planning and strategy as well as be the ‘go-to’ RVN for all clinical enquiries.

This is a full time, permanent role where you would join the weekend rota. We are flexible on hours for the right candidate around child care and other obligations.

The Candidate:

Applicants must be RCVS accredited as you will be involved in clinical work. Previous experiences as a Head Nurse is also desired but we are open to hearing from senior RVNs and people with previous experience leading a team.

You will be an expert clinically and confident in all areas of first opinion work. We are especially looking for an avuncular attitude and a people person as the team currently are all about supporting one another.


For the right candidate, we are looking to offer £45,000 DOE and we are open to negotiation for the right candidate. As well as salary, we are offering:
