Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for a Director of Nursing for their medium sized skilled nursing facility in Rutherfordton, North Carolina.
This role would suit a qualified registered nurse, that is passionate about care and has previous or current experience of working as a director of nursing within a skilled nursing facility. You will be required to be qualified as a registered nurse for the position and to focus on providing high-quality care in line with North Carolina state and Medicare regulations, supporting/developing the well-established team you are leading, under the guidance of the LNHA. While supporting the administrator with their day-to-day responsibilities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have a registered nursing license, active in the state of North Carolina. While having experience of managing a nursing team within a senior care community, as a director of nursing. Along with a good understanding of North Carolina state regulations within senior care.
The candidate will ideally have several years leadership experience as a DON or ADON and provide evidence that they have the capability to manage the clinical operations of a skilled nursing facility. The position requires a manager who can motivate a staff team, while ensuring that first class care is always delivered and understands the expectations of working within a fast paced, ever changing environment.
Requirements
Registered nurse qualification (RN) within the state of North Carolina
2+ years experience as Director of Nursing
Knowledge of Memory Care (Preferred – Not required)
History of managing a clinical team within a skilled nursing facility
Experience with, Medicare, Medicaid guidelines
Knowledge on North Carolina senior care state regulations
Location
The facility is based in Rutherfordton, North Carolina and is commutable from Spindale, Hendersonville, Gastonia, Shelby, Morganton, Hickory, Asheville and surrounding area’s.
