Digital Counsellor – EAP Provider

Job Title: Digital Counsellor – Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, with specific shift pattern (see below)

Overview:

Compass Associates is working with a leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider, together we are seeking a Digital Counsellor to join their team in Manchester. This office-based role involves providing support through live chat, video, and email, making it an ideal opportunity for counsellors with a strong interest in digital communication and technology.

As a Digital Counsellor, you will provide immediate emotional support to individuals across various sectors, helping them manage mental health challenges, trauma, and emotional distress. You will be supported by an experienced team, ensuring you deliver the highest quality care in a fast-paced, digital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling support via live chat, live video, and email to clients.
  • Deliver high-quality care and advice to individuals in distress, helping them manage mental health challenges.
  • Handle a variety of cases, including emotional support, mental health issues, and crisis management.
  • Participate in regular digital inductions and helpline training to ensure ongoing professional development.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 12 months of post-qualification experience in counselling (non-negotiable).
  • Minimum of 150 hours of counselling experience (including qualification hours).
  • Level 4 Counselling Diploma or equivalent.
  • BACP Registered (or equivalent membership such as NCPS, IACP, UKCP, BABCP, COSCA).
  • Strong competency with digital platforms and IT systems, including live chat and video conferencing tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based, digital counselling environment.
  • Must be local to Manchester, as the role is fully office-based with no hybrid working option.
  • Flexibility to work the specified shift pattern (see below).

Salary Details:

£30,000 – £34,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Thursday: 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Sunday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • This is a fully office-based role in Manchester, with no hybrid working option.
