Compass Associates are proudly working in partnership with the UK’s leading provider of private Mental Health and Wellbeing services. Together we are actively headhunting for an experienced Nurse Manager and leader in the Mental Health settings.
The role of the Deputy Ward Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.
ROLE:
Due to Hospital expansion, including the opening of a new ward, there are currently three new Deputy Ward Manager opportunities, PICU, Acute, and CAMHS. As Deputy Ward Manager you will be assisting the Ward Manager in providing day to day management and supervision of the ward, providing management and supervision to a team of registered and unregistered staff. Implementing best practice across the ward and support changes within the service. You will be responsible for the clinical direction of the service and supporting the delivery of personalised care to contribute to service improvement
While also supporting and contributing to MDT practice and Implementing and evaluating therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme.
CANDIDATE REQS/QUALS:
- RMN Qualified (NMC registered)
- Experience in leading ward teams
- You will have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Patient-focussed approach and a commitment to delivering high quality care
- Experience on acute wards is desired
PROCESS
The first stage will be an initial teams meeting with the Hospital Director which will be more exploratory in style. This is to be followed by a formal face meeting at the Hospital, followed by a tour.
