Small Animals General Practice
£36,000 + Benefits (Discounts, CPD etc.)

Are you a Veterinary Nurse seeking a new challenge?

Do you want to break into a leadership role?

We are working with a small animal practice in St Albans to help grow an established team of RVNs. We are looking for a new Veterinary Nurse to join the team, as the new Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse.

The Clinic:

The practice itself has recently been refurbished to give all staff and animals a bright, and spacious environment to work in. We see a great variety of cases with a lot of our Vets and Nurses holding post graduate certificates. We have multiple consult rooms and purpose made surgery suites so that each animal and section of our team has the space to do the job they need to. We also have separate cat and dog wards, a complex, on site lab and loads of state-of-the-art diagnostics equipment.

We are currently a team of 4 Surgeons, 4 Nurses and a wealth of support staff on hand to make sure the clinical team are doing the job they are trained for!

The Role:

As a Deputy Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will work closely with the Head Nurse and other managers to develop new protocols, business strategy and raise clinical standards. You and the HRVN are the ‘go to’ nurses for clinical enquiries and training. You will still be involved clinically and will be working on your own consults, in theatres, diagnostics and all other areas as required.

What’s in it for me?

The starting salary on offer is £36,000 depending on the candidate and the skills they bring.

You will also get loads of benefits including:
– Generous annual leave
– Well being initiatives
– Generous CPD allowance
– No OOH
– Discounts in local shops
– Loads more – feel free to reach out and discuss.

Where is the clinic?

This role is based in St Albans. commutable from Welwyn Garden City, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Harpenden, Borehamwood and all surrounding areas.
