Compass Associates are proud to be working alongside a national provider that specialise in providing high quality Children’s social care services, to help recruit an experienced Registered Manager for their 3-bed Residential Service supporting individuals with complex needs.

The Candidate

As the Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the service, including the leadership and management of the staff team and continuous collaboration with the company’s quality team. You will be overseeing the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst working closely alongside the Regional Manager, where together you will ensure the children receive the best care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to Oftsed rules and regulations. Moreover, they will also require strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.

Salary and Benefits

A salary of £45’000-£50’000 per annum (dependent on experience) with benefits including:

Essential Criteria

  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care in Children’s and Young Peoples Services.
  • 3-5 years within an Ofsted regulated home.
  • Good initiative and confidence to make decisions when needed.
  • Good staff and time management skills.
  • Good record of Ofsted inspection outcomes
  • Knowledge of the Ofsted regulations and standards they set.
  • Experience running a large service
  • Someone with a passion for Children’s Care.
  • Clear DBS


The role is located in Hull and is commutable from Hessle, Barton upon Humber, Beverley and Goole.

Interview Process

The interview process involves an initial interview with the Regional Manager, then a second interview with the Managing Director.
