Overview:Compass Associates is proud to be partnering with a renowned provider of health and social care services across the UK. The organisation offers a broad range of services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism, and learning disabilities. As part of a strategic expansion within the Tenders Team, together we are seeking an experienced and motivated Tenders Writer to help secure and retain key contracts that ensure the delivery of their vital services.

This full-time position, based in Westminster (with hybrid working options or based in Sevenoaks, Kent), offers an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about making a difference. Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Research, develop, and write persuasive, evidence-backed responses to tender questions and method statements to meet and exceed buyer/commissioner requirements and achieve top evaluation scores.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior staff and subject matter experts, including clinical professionals and service user-facing teams, to gather information and develop content that accurately represents the organsation’s services.
  • Bid Management: Effectively manage allocated tender tasks, ensuring high-quality completion of bids within submission deadlines.
  • Tender Scrutiny: Scrutinise and triage tender documentation, assess opportunities based on pricing and capability, and recommend which tenders to pursue.
  • Submission: Support the submission process of completed bids through online tender portals.

Candidate Expectations:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Bid or Tenders Writer, preferably within the healthcare or social care sector.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to produce compelling, well-structured content under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and subject matter experts.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with online tender submission processes.

Interview Process:The interview process will begin with an initial screening by Compass Associates to assess suitability. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to a competency-based interview with the Tenders Director.

Final interviews will include discussions with key team members and may involve practical assessments to evaluate writing and project management skills.
