Salary: £38,000 – £44,000 (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Overview:
Compass Associates are proudly working with one of the UKs largest private mental healthcare providers. Together we are looking for an Addictions Therapist for their acute psychiatric hospital situated on the outskirts of London in Kent. The hospital offers specialised care and treatment for adults dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including acute mental health conditions, addiction problems, and eating disorders. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services, delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

As an Addictions Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive addiction treatment services to your patients. You will be responsible for conducting individual therapy sessions, facilitating psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups, and developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Key Responsibilities:
– Delivering the 12-step abstinence-based programme
– Conducting individual therapy sessions
– Conducting therapy groups
– Completing assessments for inpatients and new referrals
– Providing aftercare support sessions
– Collaborating with the addiction team to ensure comprehensive care

Essential Requirements:
– Minimum Level 5 Diploma in counselling or relevant professional qualification in addictions
– Full BACP accreditation
– Experience with the 12-step programme and relapse prevention therapy
– Familiarity with a variety of addictions, including alcohol, substance, sex and love, gambling, and online addiction

Working Hours:
– Full-time position – 37.5 hours per week.
– Core working hours are 9am to 5pm. However you will be required to stay until 6pm once per week for the aftercare support.

Interview Process:
– The on-site interview process will consist of a 30-minute question and answer session focusing on subject knowledge, attitude, and problem-solving abilities. This will be with the Lead Addictions Service and another team member.
