This opening is based at their state of the art Hospital in Guildford, Surrey and will involve working with world class technology to provide impeccable patient care.

The Candidate  
We are searching for an enthusiastic Healthcare Technician with a background in Theatres to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise within Ophthalmic’s and to work at a modern and state of the art Ophthalmic hospital which provides the highest possible standards of care.  
Ideally you will have your NVQ level 2 or 3, however this is not an essential requirement. We are looking for individuals who are interested to continue their professional development and perhaps go on to study for their NVQ level 2 or 3.    
As a Healthcare Technician, you will be involved in all aspects of the Ophthalmic services within the Theatre Department, including understanding the theatre process and pathways, running in theatre, preparing instruments to be sent for decontamination, and help preparing the Theatres. You will also be assisting the Clinical Services Manager with the ordering of stock and overall be a positive individual on your patients pathways.  
Part of your role will be to support and advise patients and their families or support network during their treatment process whilst providing a comprehensive level of care. You will have an understanding of the CQC and clinical governance and provide a high standard of care aligning to these regulations.  
  • Background as a HCA within Theatres
  • NVQ level 2 or 3, or desire to train
  • Passion for high quality patient safety and care
  • Problem solving and analytical skills

This opportunity is based in Guildford, Surrey and is commutable from London, Farnborough, Farnham, Horsham, Brackenell, and boats of great transport links via the A3. Optegra Eye Hospital Surrey, is situated just a 10 minute car ride/ 20 minute bus ride from Guildford train station.
