Compass Associates are proud to be working alongside a medium sized, reputable organisation of quality Care and Education for children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. They are looking for an experienced Science Teacher to join their Outstanding school in Portsmouth.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher, preferably with a specialism in Science, with at least two years experience in a specialist school setting. The ideal candidate will need have experience working with young people aged 8 – 16 who have SEMH, challenging behaviour and complex needs. A real passion for science and a drive to create imaginative and engaging lesson plans for small groups of students is essential. Someone with a real drive and desire to make a difference in the young learners lives is needed for this organisation who will support you and actively encourage progression in the future.
** Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
** Specialism in Science is essential
** At least two years experience teaching young people who have multiple and complex needs including SEMH
** A desire to support young people in an educational setting to fulfil their potential
** A flexible and calm but stern approach
The school is commutable from; Waterlooville, Cowplain, Southampton, Chichester and surrounding areas.
