Compass Associates are working alongside a highly reputable private care provider who owns a remit of elderly care services across the UK. They are looking for a Home Manager to manage a medium sized care home in Widnes, Cheshire. The award winning provider owns a large sized remit of care services across the UK and due to the recent expansion they are looking for individuals who are interested in furthering their career beyond a Home Managers position.
This is a medium sized, purpose-built facility offering nursing, residential and residential dementia care for elderly people. It’s a beautiful service that does need some improvement according to a recent CQC inspection that was completed late last year. However, since the quality and turnaround team have come in, they have managed to turn the service around by recruiting qualified and competent staff, reducing the need for agency staff, develop better communication with external stake holders such as; CQC, the local authority, the local community etc., and essentially ensure that the quality of care is of teh highest possible quality.
The successful candidate must have experience as a Home Manager within a care home environment that provides nursing care for elderly people. My client is looking for a new Home Manager who can motivate a staff team, maintain good standards of care and build positive relationships with external stakeholders, including CQC.
For this role, we cannot accept candidates from a domiciliary, supported living, extra care or housing background. You must have experience managing within the care home sector.
*Must have Home Management experience (elderly care home)*
- – Demonstrable track record of CQC compliance as a Registered Care Home Manager
- – Nurse qualified (RGN/RMN/RNLD) (preferable, not essential)
- – NVQ 4/5 in social care management or equivalent
- – Strong people management skills
- – Good analytical and problem solving skills
- – Engaging communication skills
- – Ability to forge effective working relationships internally and externally
This role is based in Widnes, Cheshire and is commutable from Warrington, Liverpool, Manchester, Stockport, Wigan, Crewe, the Wirral and Chester
The interview process will be in a 2 stage format.
Stage One – Face to face Informal (CV review and CBI): Regional Manager & Operations Manager
Stage two: – Face to face formal (CV review and CBI): Managing Director
My client is seeking a Home Manager with exposure to elderly nursing care, where the successful candidate is able to lead and inspire a team to provide high quality care. In exchange, my client is offering a salary of up to £50k per annum + welcome bonus & monthly bonus.
