The Client                            
Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading Outpatient and Diagnostic Clinic, who are currently in search for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Central London. This clinic offers a full range of services including Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, ENT, Cardiology, Diagnostics and Imaging.         
     
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a multi-specialism private clinic. Our client is looking for someone who has extensive experience in the medical field and who has experience working in a similar private or NHS healthcare environment.         
     
The Role      
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support the nursing team in the assessment of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care. You will have a number of clinical duties including chaperoning patients during visits, undertaking ECG’s, phlebotomy, wound care, suture removal, intravenous cannula removal, lung function, assisting during minor procedures and assisting Radiographers in the preparation of scanning.     
  
In addition, you will also be responsible for a number of non-clinical tasks such liaising with the booking team, patient education, maintaining accurate records, monitoring and maintaining stock levels and contributing to ensuring all clinical areas are kept tidy and ensuring.    
  
This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week which will be worked various shifts Monday-Friday between 8am-8pm, with the occasional Saturday shift which will be at reduced hours.     
          
The Candidate      
My client is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join their close-knit team. You must have the ability to work independently to ensure the smooth day to day running of the clinic and the effective care of patients. You will be excited to begin a new chapter, showing dedication and taking pride in your work.        
     
As the initial point of contact for patients, you must demonstrate a caring and supportive manner with a passion for interacting with patients, relatives and colleagues. Excellent communication skills will be crucial in order to provide the highest level of patient care, aligning with the clinical values.     
  
In order to be successful with this opportunity, you will need to have previous experience within a similar outpatient or diagnostic setting, and it is essential that you are trained and confident in phlebotomy.         
     
Requirements       
– Phlebotomy training is essential   
– Evidence of competency in phlebotomy, baseline observations, ECGs, wound care and assisting in minor surgical procedures   
– Previous experience within an outpatient and/or diagnostic setting
– Excellent administration skills  
– Well-developed interpersonal skills  
– Excellent communication skills   
– NVQ Level 3 or 4 is desired   
– Enthusiastic and driven personality      
– Willingness to learn       
– Passion for high quality patient care      
– Team player    
     
Summary                            
My Client is looking for a full-time Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Central London. In return, there is a generous salary on offer up to £23,000 with additional company benefits including substantial annual leave, private pension scheme and private health cover. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting doctors, nurses and other health professionals in their day to day duties including confidentiality and privacy at all times.
