General Manager | Retirement Village | Luxurious Setting
Lanark, Scotland
 
Salary: Circa £48k per annum + Bonus
       
Remit        
Compass Associates are working with a private care provider that operates a portfolio of care homes and care facilities across the UK. This role requires a candidate with care experience, experience overseeing budgets and leading a large staff team.  
                  
This is a General Managers position to run a retirement village that provides nursing and dementia care for elderly people as well as a luxury experience on the grounds and their homes. The village is surrounded and encompassed by stunning grounds and amenities that can be evidenced by the villages successful Care Inspectorate grading.  
 
The Candidate        
The successful candidate must pride themselves on being a confident and hard-working Manager with experience of managing a successful care setting that provides nursing and dementia care for elderly people.  
   
The candidate must have excellent leadership skills and provide evidence that they have the capability to run a successful care service. This position requires a positive person who is able to motivate a staff team, build good relationships with external professionals and essentially, ensure that all residents are cared for to the best possible standard.  
   
We can only accept applications from people who are currently working within the elderly care home sector.      
     
Requirements
  • Management experience (elderly care home)
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • Passion for elderly care  
  • RMA level 4 or SVQ Level 4 qualified
 
Location        
This role is based in Coalburn and is commutable from East Kilbride, Carluke, Wiston, Hamilton, Motherwell, Glasgow, Moffatt, Kilmarnock, West Linton, Cumnock, Paisley and Livingston.
 
Interview Process        
The interview process will be in a 2 stage format with a  presentation.         
       
Stage one: Face to face formal (walk around & CV review): Regional Manager     
Stage two: Face to face informal (CV review & competency based): Regional Manager or Operations Director     
       
Summary        
My client is seeking a Manager with exposure to elderly care, where the successful candidate is able to lead and inspire a team to provide high quality care. In exchange, my client is offering a salary of circa £48k per annum with a bonus.
