The Financial Controller should ensure that the management accounts, statutory accounts and budgets are produced to the agreed time scales and quality. Also, that management accounts and budgets are revised as necessary during the year. The Financial Controller should train, motivate and develop the finance team.
Knowledge of SAGE Line 200 (although not essential)
Very good Excel skills. Good Word and Power Point skills
Excellent communication skills
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (ideally ACA)
Experience in managing the activities of a finance team and disciplined in approach
Care sector experience is desirable but not necessary.
Provide strategic input, initiatives and support to the senior executives
Build and lead a first class finance team to deliver the finance team’s responsibilities
Maintain excellent relationships with external advisers
Finalisation of monthly management accounts within agreed time frames from the end of the month
Production of a monthly report on the management accounts highlighting key variances to budget, trends and actions to resolve issues
Assist in the finalisation of statutory accounts for all group companies
Working closely with Finance Director on reporting to the banks and other financial institutions
