End of Year Conference and Party 2018!
On Friday 13th April, it was time again for us all at Compass to join together for our end of year conference and end of year party 2018.
This year, we held our Conference at The Village Hotel in Portsmouth. Our Conference is an opportunity to bring the whole of Compass Holding Group together to discuss our last financial year, our business successes, gain an overview of each division and vision for the future. There’s always a bit of time for some games – a company quiz this year!
At the end of our conference, we announced the nominees for our Core Values Awards ahead of the evening’s ceremony.
As is now Compass tradition, we celebrated our End of Year with a black tie dinner with a glittering “Oscars” themed event at the Botleigh Grange Hotel. The girls looked fabulous in their evening dresses and the men very dapper in their bow ties. Everyone was welcomed with a glass of fizz, a variety of canapés whilst music from popular films played in the background.
Before dinner was served, each of our Core Values Awards winners were announced and presented by each Director with a shiny, gold Oscar statue; congratulations to Matt Sheppard, Consultant for our Care Home division, Sophie Taylor, Senior Consultant for our General Healthcare division, Ani Abello, Consultant for our Specialist Services division, Ben Cotton, Consulant for our Care Home division, Adam Brenton, Divisional Manager for our Manchester office and Cassie Pay, HR Assistant in Business Support (for more on our Core Values winners click here). Director Sam Leighton-Smith also presented the final, surprise award for Best Newcomer 2018 to Rachel Eggelton, Consultant for our General Healthcare division – who was very surprised at her win! Congratulations Rachel.
After dinner, DJ James Morgan treated us to an “old skool” set with many of us enjoying the tunes and cutting shapes on the sparkling, LED dance-floor. It was great to see so many colleagues enjoying the Photobooth, with Hollywood and Oscar themed props.
We hope everyone had a spectacular evening and there weren’t too many sore heads the next day!
