Compass Associates celebrate End of Year Vegas style
On Friday 5th April, all three brands under the Compass Holding Group banner (Compass Associates, Compass Executives and Compass Corporate Services), joined together for our annual End of Year conference and evening celebration.
The conference was an opportunity to give an overview of the last financial year, highlight changes within different parts of the company and to celebrate each other’s successes. There is always some time at the end for a fun, team building activity. This time, teams of six were tasked with completing a mystery puzzle and building a tower from spaghetti and sellotape!
We concluded our conference with the announcement of the nominees for our Core Value Awards which would be presented in the evening.
We rounded off the year with our traditional black tie dinner and awards at the Queen’s Hotel in Southsea. The ballroom was transformed into fabulous “Las Vegas” complete with a red carpet, beautifully decorated tables, light up “Vegas” letters and of course, a selection of gaming tables including Roulette, Blackjack and a Wheel of Fortune.
Before dinner, we announced the winners of our Core Value Awards Winners which were presented by each of our Directors. Congratulations to Senior Associate Ben Westcott from Compass Executives; Divisional Manager Pete Griffiths from our Care Home division; Senior Consultant Rachel Eggelton from our General Healthcare division; HR Manager Cassie Pay from our Business Support team; Divisional Manager Gareth Guyll from our Care Home division; Senior Consultant Matt Sheppard from our Care Home division and Divisional Manager Stuart Cousins from our General Healthcare division. Adam Brenton, Divisional Manager from our Manchester Office was delighted to also present our Rising Star Award to Senior Consultant Benedict Warnes. Well done Benedict!
During dinner we were treated to stunning performance by singer Lee Gilbert with his versions of classic Rat Pack tunes and some modern show tunes, including music from The Greatest Showman!
The evening continued with employees playing to win big prizes on the casino tables, provided by Casino Kings and Soul and Motown band The Soul Suspects ensured the dancefloor stayed full until it was time to call it a night. Special thanks to James White Photography for capturing the evening.
Sam Leighton-Smith, Director of Healthcare comments:
“What a wonderfully executed evening as we brought together, as we do every quarter, all staff from all parts of the business to celebrate the years success stories. Our Core Values were chosen by the staff to represent their daily ambitions and principles which they abide by. Throughout the year staff nominate colleagues who represent these values the best and the winners are presented their respective awards at the evening bash. More importantly it was a pleasure to see everyone getting on so well, new starters and old heads integrating and enjoying each others company. The whole day and evening was certainly one for the ages.”
