End of Quarter 3 and Christmas Party

6th January 2020
As the year drew to a close, it was time to once again for us at Compass Associates to celebrate the festive season and our third End of Quarter. For the last couple of years, we have given employees a choice of activities to take part in smaller groups before coming together for the evening's party. Our first group headed over to TeamSport Gosport for a 'mini-grand prix' around their go-karting track.  After two heats, the fastest drivers went up against each other, fighting it out for a place on the podium.  Richard York from our Care Home division, was first over the line with Director Sam Leighton-Smith crossing not long after.  In third, Principal Consultant Matt Sheppard completed the line up.

21st National Care Awards 2019

On Friday 29th November the Caring Times' National Care Awards celebrated it's 21st year with a fabulous ceremony at the London Hilton Metropole in Central London.  The National Care Awards are the UK's longest running care awards, recognising the very best in the care sector. Hosted by comedian and qualified doctor Simon Brodkin (known for comedy character Lee Nelson) hosted this year's awards. Compass Associates sponsored the Care Operations Manager of the Year award category for the seventh year running.  This year's award was presented to Aderio Rocha from TLC Care.  Congratulations to Aderio and the rest of the evening's winners and nominees.

Scottish Care Care Home Awards, Conference & Exhibition 2019

19th November 2019
November is usually our busiest month for events and the halfway point calls for us to make our annual trip to Glasgow. We attended the Scottish Care Care Home Conference & Exhibition for the fifth consecutive year, exhibiting in the main conference room.  This year Senior Consultant for Scotland, Max Oerton, Divisional Manager Adam Brenton and Head of Marketing Lily Parke were in attendance. This year’s conference was entitled “Essential Care: The Critical Role of Care Homes” and featured a number of well respected speakers including CEO of Scottish Care Donald Macaskill, CEO of the Care Inspectorate Peter Macleod and a ministerial address from Jeane Freeman, MSP - Cabinet Secretary for Health & Sport, Scottish Government.  The conference also included breakout sessions and the launch of the Care Badge.
